This drypoint intaglio is a dreamscape dive into my grief following my mom's death and a contemplation on our complicated relationship. Our heart is joined in a tangle and descends into a spiked cholla cactus. My memories feel like spider webs, like a thing I could get caught in. #printmaking #art

This woodcut portrait of Chinese writer Lu Xun by Li Yitai from 1974 is one of my all time favourites.
The balance of the piece is mind-blowing, especially the restrained use of detail.
But the real kicker is the intentionally under-inked smoke, fading into the void...
