I honestly can't wait for yall to join me in the idea that relationships are temporary, including marriages bc divorce exists.

The sooner we accept this, the more folks will understand growing apart in relationships isn't failure. It's GROWTH & that's good for everyone involved!

Of survival thru hells that most couldn’t even imagine?
All as vivid and riveting as ANY fictional work authored.
But non-fiction.

So we agree that fiction absolutely has utility.
We diverge if the presumption is the only supplier for storytelling, world-crafting, wonder, and enlightenment.

We’re in agreement here…the more exposure one has to a variety of related inputs the more robust their outputs (generally) would be.
Do you agree that all inputs aren’t feasible?
And if so, the choices one makes on which to take in doesn’t make one less/more/better/worse/unfortunate.
It just……is.

Maybe classical is missing, but others genres are WELL represented to make MY sound.
If that’s not the sound for you, there’s other music.
But to say my music is unfortunate because YOU prefer a different sound……like………that’s ok to you??

The problem with that is it infers that classical music is the only provider of that skill.
As a proverbial producer, I can only consume so much, no?
It’s the height of ridiculousness to expect me to be versed in EVERY genre.

Some people don’t watch the news.
As an avid consumer of current events and goings ons I find this a smidge odd, but I GET IT!
Some people ain’t wired to consume it, and either eschew it altogether or consume it differently.
It’s not my or anyone else’s place to say their choice is unfortunate.

To me the issue is the imagined hierarchy and even supremacy being attached to fiction, as if it’s better and/or life is less than without it.
That’s simply not true, and we’d never say your life is less/incomplete without horror, classical music, ir any other consumption choice.

And I get that some have experienced many folks (men in particular) who are stunted.
And it’s easy to point fingers at their reading habits as the culprit.
I ain’t saying there isn’t truth to it, but I am saying folks are using a football field-sized brush to paint with, and it’s just inaccurate.
