If I like one version more than another, I just go back and re-read or re-watch it. Different adaptions give more options. I’m also weird and that PGSM (live action) is my favorite Sailor Moon and is a great example of how fun it can be to take a completely different direction for certain characters

It’s just so intriguing to me too I think bc in feature animation there is not as much emphasis on this concept that it has to be EXACTLY the same. It’s more so inspired by (think almost all Disney animated princess films). So to me, I’m like well of course it’s different LOL.

On my mind again bc of Stargaze discussions, but it always surprised me that in online fandoms for anime/manga’s there is a heavy emphasis on 1 to 1 adaptations. For me personally, I have always preferred it when the adapted media makes changes. It gives me new content and keeps it fresh.

I find it bleak that ChatGPT now has more users than Wikipedia. Many people would rather be spoon-fed information by a machine than read and research for themselves. Tech isn't just making us dumber. Worse than that: it's killing curiosity itself and the desire to learn.
