Hello! I am hosting digital art events and challenges from September to December, as a more flexible and relaxed alternative to things like inktober, while also trying to give space for artists and writers to conduct studies and connect to others 🌰

Happy Chilltobember everyone! Have fun!
New discord server is now open! DM me for a link! :)
Correction: the submission email is now [email protected]

I shall upload the updated image as soon as I get around to editing it :)
Just swapped emails from gmail to protonmail, because honestly I see no reason not to... but just so everyone is warned, the current email for submission in the post is incorrect. I shall upload a new image soon with the new email ([email protected])
There is going to be a second Kingdom Hearts big bang in winter, although I have not quite set up the details for that yet.

The server will be operational in August, so feel free to DM me about it :)
Since there seemed to be enthusiasm about this event last year, I made a discord server, so people who want to collaborate with each other will be able to, and to make the event feel a bit more like older fandom events. (cont.)
Hello everyone! So, this year I am setting things up a bit earlier to give everyone more time to prepare. (more below)
Posting some updates soon! :)
Who would be interested in a fandom Big Bang for Heartless Halloween? (yes, I know it's April; no, it's never too soon to start planning for some fandom halloween fun)
Thank you to those who participated in Heartless Halloween Party! Remember that you have until the end of the week to send late submissions for the collected document!

For the rest of you, happy November and happy continuation of Chilltobember!
We are organizing a KH Heartless big bang! All welcome to participate!
Hello everyone! Here's the Chilltobember prompts for this year! Have fun! 🌰
Have fun! If you participate, remember to tag your work with #septemberstudies, so that I may be able to find it and reblog it!
For this year I added a little list with different options on how to participate, to make sure this is as flexible as possible to suite everyone's needs!
The list will refer to the prompts given in the previous thread :)
More below in the replies:
This is not an art challenge, but more of a chance to do some art studies together and find motivation to work on our crafts before autumn and winter hit with the big art/writing challenges and events.
The prompts are thought for visual arts, but writing will also be more than welcomed.
3. Jack of all trades:
Do a subject from each category, skip as you like.

4. The diligent:
Follow the calendar instead

5. The busy:
Select the prompts and subjects you want to draw and make your own schedules - draw as often as you want!
PROMPTS PER LIST:
Different ways of doing the September Studies Challenge

1. The single minded way:
Choose a category from the list and as many subjects you want. You can revisit them.

2. The list guru:
Try to draw every single subject from the list.
26. pick a subject from the list.
27. pick a subject from the list you don't usually draw.
28. pick a subject from the list you have not drawn in a long time.
29. pick a subject from the list you draw often.
30. Rest!
24. pick a subject. Draw it in different states (wet, dry, broken/sick, new/thriving, old, young - objects and animals included).
25. Pick a subject you usually draw. Have fun with different ways of creating lines and shading.
26. pick a subject from the list.
21. pick a subject from the list. Draw variations using as little detail as possible.
22. pick a subject from the list. Try to be as realistic as possible.
23. Pick a photo. Redraw it like a child, but make it recognizable still.
19. abstract time! Pick an instrumental song, a feeling, a memory, or a poem that speaks to you. Put your impressions of it (emotions, images) on paper - abstract, messy, let it flow.
20. Anatomy: whatever your subject (people, animals, objects, etc) take today as a day to get technical about it.
16. sketch a scene or a character. Now draw them again but on the opposite angle.
17. pick a subject from the list.
18. sketch a landscape. Now sketch it again, but in a different season
13. sketch five different landscapes. Give yourself a timer for each.
14. take a photo and take a moment to study the lighting of it. Re-paint it, with a particular focus on the lighting and colours.
15. draw two subjects interacting (hugs, overlapping, two fruits, blankets, plushies etc.)
9. pick an artwork you like (out of Copyright), and remake it in your style.
10. pick a category from the list; draw every single subject.
11. redraw an old art piece of yours in your current style.
12. draw a body part in different angles.
6. make art in a different medium from your usual one.
7. pick a real life object in your house and paint it multiple times.
8. pick a subject from the list. Draw multiple variations of it.
9. pick an artwork you like (out of Copyright), and remake it in your style.
PROMPTS PER DAY
1. do mechanical exercises: lines, circles, wiggly lines. Fill a page.
2. draw using only one line.
3. pick a subject from the list. Draw it from different angles.
4. pick a subject from the list. Draw it in different styles.
5. pick two subjects from the list. Combine them.
