i really love the versatilty of my 339 after i added a Les Trem to it, and with its split coil pickups, but the ergonomics are horrendous, with no belly carve and a flat fretboard radius that doesn't suit my preference for playing barre chords with hammer-ons

now that 339 has been my main guitar for 10 years, but i still miss having a strat. i vastly prefer the rounder fingerboard radii, and i like how metallic and chimy they sound with thick strings and tuned down half a step. but i'm someone who likes to "fight' my guitar with high action & heavy hand

guitars are funny like that. i've always ended up with red guitars by chance. and i was totally a fender girl and then my strat's frets got worn down and i didn't know shit about repair at the time so i tried a bunch of replacement strats that didn't work out, then ended up with a 339 by chance

I heard about this potential CFS test a few years ago, and it's still awaiting further trials, but it's good to hear news about it again. i'm not counting my chickens before they hatch, but i hope so fucking bad this becomes a real test and is available here. i'd cut off my fucking arm for this test

a few years ago i had a little pen-buying spree to try and find the perfect pen for me, and fountain pens seemed really promising and fun with lots of variable width, but they weren't what i'd hoped them to be. but i think i've now found The One: Sailor Fude de Mannen with angled nib

it's cool seeing locals getting excited about our sports teams, but it's just making me feel bitter again about Oakland losing all of its major sport teams. like, i would finally have a reason to actually care about sports; i'd love to show my love for Oakland by rooting for them, but i can't 😠
