Oh for sure I totally agree, I just think it’s a bit irresponsible for people like Gotham to be so quick to make videos about it when Danyas cause of death is not actually confirmed yet, especially since his family asked people for privacy. This feels like quite the opposite of that.

For sure it’s still something worth calling attention to, but people are talking about it like it’s a cause of death when we don’t actually know that for sure yet (even though for the record I am inclined to believe they are related). Im just saying lets at least wait until it’s been confirmed.

There have also been lots of people on Twitter demanding kramnik title be removed and all this shit like can we give it a week??? Just a week to actually confirm his death could be related to his mental health??? Again if he had a heart condition he didn’t know about this is gonna feel real silly.

On one hand, it’s fascinating to see everyone so publically going through the anger stage of grief at the same time. On the other hand, it’s probably actually very unhealthy especially for his actual closest friends. TLDR, everyone put the phones down for a little bit and just grieve.

I just saw the Gotham video this morning and then the stream from Hikaru, and even they don’t know quite what happened yet. Honestly I think it’s a little unhealthy that so many people so close to him have come to the internet so soon to talk about everything in the height of their grief. 3/3

Is speculation surrounding his death likely the truth? Probably, more or less. I will say, I am biased in thinking this b/c my cousin died in the exact same circumstances a couple years ago. All I’m saying is we are going to feel silly if it comes out that he had a brain aneurysm or something. 2/3

I just wanna preface, I get that everyone is upset right now and probably a little irrational because of grief. But the amount of hooplah about Kramnik is a bit insane. Was everything he said terrible? Yes. But we still don’t know the circumstances of Danyas death yet. Even his friends don’t. 1/3

When I first learned chess, the #1 person I was told to watch was Daniel Naroditsky. If you ask the majority of my club who their favorite streamer is, they will say him. The impact this will have on chess is inconceivable. When it comes to educational videos his were superior.
