Our proposal for two new unitary councils, created with four other councils, will create authorities that are big enough to be efficient, stable and reliable, but local enough to care and be responsive to communities.

Did you know many eligible residents are missing out on receiving extra money to help with living cost by not claiming Pension Credit?

Whether you're state pension age or approaching it, it’s worth checking if you qualify.
If you find yourself outside of our offices by the canal you'll also see our new flag poles, which have the Union Jack and Ukraine flag proudly flying.
This installation reflects our ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and our work with local partners to ensure no member of the Armed Forces community faces disadvantage in accessing services, housing, employment, or wellbeing support.
We’re proud to provide a home for this poppy soldier on the ground floor of our council offices, a poignant symbol of remembrance and respect for all who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces.
Costume swap magic - host a costume swap with friends or neighbours instead of buying new. You can also find a great selection of pre-loved costumes on online marketplaces or in local charity shops. It’s a fang-tastic way to save money and reduce textile waste!
