I feel like we need to be talking about this more.

He ran away like he thought there was something highly contagious or the guy had a Dune-tooth to poison the room.
Watching RFK jr run away from someone collapsing feels like a harbinger of things to come

My first introduction to Rosalía was the reggaeton appropriation stuff and admittedly, I wrote her off. I am definitely having a religious experience listening to LUX, though.

A week after the arXiv was forced to tighten down on submissions because of overwhelming volumes of AI slop, bioRxiv is throwing the doors wide open.
disappointed that @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social is implicitly endorsing the use of LLMs to replace scientific thought

@richardsever.bsky.social this is a short-sighted move and a net negative for science
IT'S HAPPENING! 💥 I'm psyched to launch the collaboration between @qedscience.bsky.social & @openrxiv.bsky.social @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social! Preprint + q.e.d = your science is out there, and anyone can appreciate it. Let's care about making discoveries, and not on “getting published” (1/3) 👇

I know I’m a wicked witch for this, but seeing that yinzer guy going viral for his makeshift pantry (an objectively nice thing!) pisses me off a little.

Pittsburgh has a bunch of great organizations in place to help with food insecurity. I get that it feels good to support his earnest effort!

This is what people don’t understand. The rain is FINE. It’s the sun setting at 3pm that gets to you.
am I seriously going for a sunset jog at 245pm right now

So, I have to make several extra gestures to get to the exposure toggle in the camera app now? iOS 26 sucks.

Voted for @workingfamilies.org endorsed candidates here in Philly #яголосую #ivoted

The idea that anyone ever gets canceled is so weird. It’s not that everything is redeemable, but it’s a chance to demonstrate real change.

And if you can’t evolve and take responsibility, that’s on you!
no one is getting 'canceled' it is literally a primary election
Establishment Democrats spent a full year complaining the Left forced them to be “woke.”

But then a left populist, Graham Platner, threatened to win in Maine, so they went right back to trying to cancel someone over old internet posts.

Congratulations, Ireland. Miggledy can never be replaced but Connolly is READY to ball.

I was just notified that I can get a parking permit on campus! I have been on the waitlist since November 29, 2017.

(I now work remotely in a different city)

(I still wouldn’t need to commute by car)

(I can’t believe how delulu I was to think I’d be making enough to afford it)

Gastroenterologists giving you a grade on your colonoscopy prep is unreal.

Yes, I got a perfect score. At what cost?

There’s a breadth of Magan’s work to discover but I highly recommend checking out the podcast, the Almanac of Ireland.

I’ve definitely reached the, “these cars will kill me but at least I’ll tell them off before I die” stage of living in Philadelphia.

Haven’t listened to the Ezra Klein podcast (never have & probably never will) but I can tell you that Ta-Nehisi Coates is staying in the conversation in the model of Tony Judt, who would be proud.

He doesn’t have to and none of this is abstract for him, but he’s modeling persistence and strength.

It’s 2025 and people will still try to get you in trouble by saying you never responded to their emails. And you have a full chain of correspondence.

I guess shamelessness really is our current moment.

Let's go one more round with this piece. I just returned from Dublin and Belfast. If the NFL thinks that Ireland is thrilled to see them land on their country, they are sorely mistaken. The crowd is US-based Steelers fans with too much disposable income. Abundance! www.thenation.com/article/soci...
The NFL Is Trump’s America—and It’s Invading Ireland
The league is not coming to Dublin to plant a tree. It is coming to plant a flag.

Does anyone have a #PillPack alternative they like?

I’d really like to avoid Amazon Pharmacy, but not willing to go back to bottled prescriptions from brick & mortar stores.

Update: it was even worse than I could have predicted
Anyone want to put a wager on what insane reactionary centrist things David Brooks will say tomorrow night on PBS?
