I completely understand. I initially dropped AoT back in 2014 cos of bullying and came back to surprise, more bs xD
I swear this is one of the evilest fandoms. I was able to return and enjoy it for what it was but I am feeling myself kinda float onto other things which in itself feels bleh

you should lean into whatever interests you most. and if it changes, just follow what brings you joy.
as someone in their eternal flop era, the stuff i make that is for me and me only regardless of how it performs, it being for me/what i like makes me feel less shit cos at the base level i love it

Nile shifted in place as he slowly and quietly repositioned himself. Rising up from his kneeling position to give his knees a rest, he now crouched, leaning forward and up against the wall to brace himself and to press his face flush with the hole in the wall. His single eye sweeping over the forms of the boys beyond the way. He was willing himself to study carefully, to pick up on every subtle movement and read their body language in an attempt to make up for the great enough distance between himself and the pair and not being able to hear the words that were now quietly being exchanged.

His gaze shot to the searching blue eyes, and he took note of their change from curiously questioning to relaxed, when Nile felt something shift. He followed the line of view from where Erwin was gazing up at Miche and what he saw startled him. Nile was shocked to find that Miche's gaze seemed to be holding his one-eyed stare. He stumbled in place, almost toppling over as the crumbled stone and gravel beneath his boot shifted about in his unsteady stance. He managed to catch himself, leaning heavily forward on the wall again, helping to keep himself upright.

Nile hung his head and took a breath for what felt like the longest stretch of time. His heart raced as he now stood frozen in fear. Surely Miche had seen him, heard the movement of the gravel shifting beneath his boots. His gazed as too pointed to be staring off into the distance. He was sure he had been caught and couldn't yet bring himself to check nor move from where he stood. Nile remained in his spot awaiting the consequences of his actions. Time felt suspended like a sheet being pulled taut, hard enough to start taking it apart at the seams and then all at once the tension began to slowly dissipate. Time settled into its usual pace again, and then nothing. Nothing happened. Nile chanced a quick peak only to find that Miche's quizzical stare had melted away and that his attention was fully returned to the eager fidgetin…
