Saturn by #JWST 🔭, NIRCam. The equator band was saturated for most filters (level 3 images), but what a sight.
chatGPT: A near-infrared view of Saturn set against a black background. The planet appears as a softly glowing sphere in warm reddish and orange tones, with faint horizontal banding across its atmosphere. Saturn’s rings are seen nearly edge-on, forming a thin, bright, elongated line that slices diagonally across the planet. The rings shine in pale white and bluish hues, contrasting with the darker, muted colors of the planet behind them. The overall impression is a delicate, simplified infrared portrait highlighting Saturn’s atmosphere and razor-thin ring plane.

'Arp 107' -Corel Painter, Artist's Oils
Arp 107 - a painting of two merging galaxies, elliptical and spiral. Original reference data was observed with the James Webb Space Telescope using the MIRI instrument. Set against the blackness of deep space, both galaxies are painted in a range of rich, blues hues. The larger spiral galaxy has a central black hole, painted in bright white and pink refraction spikes. The background is peppered with a variety of distant stars and galaxies, all in the royal colors of the MIRI instrument. NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory’s image of the Trifid and Lagoon Nebulae captures several dazzling open star clusters. 🌌💫 These clusters are young, loosely bound families of stars that will eventually drift apart over millions of years. 🔭🧪

A bright central cluster of stars of various sizes, surrounded by glowing pink and orange clouds of nebular gas. The clouds are uneven, with both smooth regions and thin, threadlike structures. Darker patches appear where dust partially blocks the light, creating contrast against the brightly lit areas.
