Daylight Savings Time in the north east in America is a concept I love/hate…when it just happens I love the extra hour sleep and the syncing of the time with Jamaica. Takes me about a week to adjust…don’t go through the adjustment period or you don’t skip a beat? #jamaica #diaspora

There are things that are intimidating to a newly migrated Jamaican, seeing it for the first time. For me it was driving over the Verrazano bridge for the first time with my new drivers license. Did you ever experience anything intimidating in the beginning that seems like nothing now? #jamaica

There are a lot of tall tales we heard growing up that we’ve since learned weren’t as factual as we thought but at the time we took for gospel. We use “bright” in Jamaican in 3 entirely different ways…the beauty of our language is its ability to use native English words and reassign the meaning. This video is in response to @mindgarden5723 …I hope I was able to give a decent explanation 😁👊🏾🇯🇲.

I remember growing up in Jamaica and hearing dancehall music for the first time…it’s a vivid memory that sticks out in my mind. I heard “Greetings” “Winsome” and “Agony” by @halfpint876 back in the mid 80s and was intrigued ever since. Comment the first ever dancehall song you ever heard.
