Thank you for pointing this out. Just read one of these souless garbage recaps and gave it the rating it deserves. If they don't think their product is worth an intern recaping it, much less an actual journalist doing it, what sort of fans are they trying to attract?

While I understand the sentiment, there has been a lot of noise lately about how MLS must change the schedule in large part because of the transfer windows - can they get serious talent in the other window? I don't know enough about that side of the business to know.
Does Rene's visa impact being on the same page with Ally for aquisitions during this window? They're in the ticket sales business and they need something to point to. Paul, Russell & Zoltan werent household names at the time, but could sound interesting to casual fans - and obviously worked out
I agree Rene should definitely have a say, but given the reported details of Ally's courtship of Rene, they had time to go in to this window already on the same page of who they would pursue. Hopefully the quiet around the team is due to the lack of reporters actually covering them.
The player is getting their money either way, so I'm not sure what the league gains with a buyout. Wouldnt the league prefer the team has preasure to fill an open DP spot? I'm guessing the league just didnt imagine these circumstances, but now dont care to help out DCU for whatever reason...
While they've changed Trey, they haven't changed Ally, so Ally should be able to continue assembling 'his' roster without waiting through another window before adding talent. The new guy may not officially be working at training, but have to have been talking and looking at tape.

I'd be curious what the minimum standard of broadcast quality the league would allow. I'm not entirely unsympathetic since it might require more camerapeople than people who would be watching the stream
