New pinned post for now that gives off my overall taste of games. Which includes:

My top 25 JRPGs (as of June 2025)

My top 50 games (as of January 2025)

My favorite character from each major JRPG franchise (as of June 2025)

A ranking of every game I completed in 2024.
My good friend Nick, wanted to give me an art commission as a gift. I had the idea of Jinhsi from Wuthering Waves wearing the outfit of Tio from Trails of Cold Steel 3 (and onwards in the Trails series).

The artist is @jeyrablue.bsky.social So, I would like to thank them for the art piece.
I kinda get it, PC gaming in Japan isn't that popular, so having ultrawide support is catering to a niche within a niche in Japan. But considering every single Japanese publisher thinks about global audiences, it would be nice to include the option for places when ultrawide gaming is more popular!
I know nearly nobody will care, but I will always greatly appreciate a non-AAA Japanese game that has naive ultra widescreen support. It's just so incriebly rare to see since, usually I have to mod around, mess with hex values, or use some sort of Unreal unlocker to get ultrawide resolution.
Maybe I can turn this into a generational run and cram another one before the year is over? Perhaps I'll play Mana Khemia or Ciel Nosurge next?
I never was someone that binge through Gust games nonstop, so it's actually insane to me that I completed three Gust games in a single year. I even 100%ed the latter two games.
I still think about playing this game all of the time, I just need to find time for it.
My Atelier Resleriana 2 review is up on Backlogg! Please give it a read, it would be much appreciated!

I just started chapter 3 at 46 hours last night. I wouldn't be able to make it that far into the game at all if I waited for LGR. Good thing I double dipped even if I shouldn't had to.
Finally a month later. I had gotten my copy of Sky 1st from Limited Run. Surprisingly the box wasn't damaged either! Steelbook is sexy.
Pokémon Fans: Graphics bad
Digimon Fans: It's gooning time
Tbh Atelier Resleriana 2 would be peak if Lydie and Suelle was in the game. But I can't say it's the best Atelier game if you gonna have a bunch of past characters in the game but not my daughters 😔😭
Tbh I'm a fake Atelier fan for not doing the barrel thing until after I beaten the game (I couldn't find at all until today).
Hitting max levels always feel good in games
Atelier Resleriana 2 is completed, now time for the 100%ing
I just been looking for a new Atelier game to claim my new favorite for 7 years now ngl.
Atelier Resleriana 2 is so good. Even got a scene when it's just peak.

I wanna see if it will stick the landing since I'm on the final chapter (I think), but if it does, then yea it might actually dethrone Lydie and Suelle for my favorite Atelier game.
Yea you could say the same thing for all genres. I just thought there would be a more negative bias towards JRPGs due to the past history of xenophobia and the whole "anime looks all of the same" thing that still lingers on to this day.
Been curious about this for a while. But are JRPGs truly generic to the point they all look like the same game over and over to many people? Or have I played so many than I can clearly discern the differences between each and every JRPG, even if they're a part of the same series.
My experience with going back and forth between Trails in the Sky 1st and Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian
Kloe's JP VA has to be my favorite out of all of the voices so far in Sky 1st. It's just so lovely and delightful.
Back when Gilbert wasn't a complete joke of a character
Maybe because I have the hindsight of knowing the entire story of Sky already but the subtle are very hard to notice at first. You would think Joshua is spacing out for a bit for no apparent reason, but deep down, there is something not quite right with him.
