Hated Heat. Stupid movie. It’s “stylish,” apparently. So what, who cares?
If you’re not
LOLing after 3 espresso martinis, they’re not making them right.
Who gives a shit what their motives are? 90% of what they say is basically Bluesky discourse, and they talk to an audience that would rather get shot than spend an hour on here. The house is on fire. IMO, everyone with a bucket of water is welcome. We can go back to yelling at them later.
I counted 20 of these that I drank when I was young and poor. I still drink Yuengling sometimes—it’s not nearly as bad as the others on the list that I’ve tried.
It will literally be a monument to stupid and pointless vanity and corruption—in other words, to Trump.
Well, obviously you can’t fly in the same jet two days in a row. They’re like underwear.
Nothing wrong with passive sentences in general. They can actually increase readability when used effectively.
My bad. Missed the word “living.”
Good lost, but you forgot Kristofferson.
Someone needs to show him that Schoolhouse Rock episode about how laws are made.
I know you’re not asking for well wishes, but I do hope for the best for you, so I figured I may as well say it . . .
I taught college students for 30 years, largely drawing from current controversies to develop their critical thinking. I think if I were teaching now, I would be fired in a week.
I always look forward to these posts, and you (and the dogs) never disappoint!

Why don’t I just walk up to that nice lady at the counter and say, “I’m here”?
So, the point of the Medicare cuts is to shut down rural hospitals so undocumented immigrants can’t get healthcare?
To be fair, he usually doesn’t know what anyone is talking about.
I also get that relying on Dems as even part of the solution sucks in a lot of ways, but I don’t think we have a choice in the near term. And we are running out of time.
I think that Dems winning control of one house of Congress (at least) is a necessary (though far from sufficient) condition to at least slow down the current assault on the values that you and I seem to share. Not to mention the physical assaults on immigrants and others.
Not at all costs, of course. But at some cost, I think, unfortunately. And I don’t hear anyone on the left acknowledging that.
I would never in 100 years defend Charlie Kirk nor Klein’s ridiculous statements about him. But I also read you as pushing back on Klein’s notion that “We need to win.” And the Dems really, really need to win.
You’ve already said you’re going to block me instead of responding, but I’ll ask anyway: Would you rather have 51 Dem senators, 2 of whom are pro-gun or climate deniers, or 49 who agree with you on everything? In which scenario are trans people and immigrants safer?
Waiting for deaths or retirements of current members is not an option.
If (and it’s a big if) Dems ever win enough seats to make changes, they need to reconfigure how the Supreme Court works, including expanding the number of sitting justices. Several proposals have been expressed.
