Just returned to home from London where we attended my niece’s funeral. She died at age 54 after a 4 year fight. She had been a nurse for over 30 years. On our return my wife learned of the passing of her cousin’s daughter of cancer at age 34 leaving two children. Why so much cancer in young people?

I don’t really understand why fox hunting is a thing in Ireland. It’s cruel to animals and a hangover from the time the British ruled Ireland. It’s even banned in the UK- please sign #foxhunting : my.uplift.ie/petitions/pe... @uplift.ie

Trump is desperate to be nominated and win the #Nobel #peaceprize . Nominations close on the 31st January so the undue haste to agree a peace plan between Russia and Ukraine even if the plan sells Ukraine out.

Steve Witkoff tipped off Putin via an intermediary that Trump was meeting Zelenskyy to agree a supply of long range missiles. Also he recommended the language for Putin to play Trump. Later he helped devise the pro Russian so called “peace” deal. Is he working for Putin and Russia?

When you were bullied at school you remember what happened exactly, I was bullied for two years verbally and mentally in 1961-2, over 60 years ago. I remember the people, what they said and did and how I felt. So I believe the victims and not Nigel Farage wrt the alleged racial abuse.

It is obvious that #Russia won’t agree to the new #peaceplan agreed between #Ukraine and USA. However with President Zelenskyy now in Trump’s good books perhaps Putin will now be in Trump’s bad books. It’s as if Trump agrees with the last person he interacts with? It’s part of his #TACO behaviour

European 28 point plan for Ukraine and Russia peace is better. But why is there no provision for a referendum in the occupied lands to determine if the people wish to be Russian or Ukrainian? And if the people wish to be Ukrainian, then the occupied lands handed back.

Today was the 9th birthday of Gorey #parkrun . Big celebrations, singing and cake were had by 180 participants, one of our larger turnouts. I was a marshall today.

A starting point for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine would be Russia giving up the land it has invaded and paying to rebuild everything they have destroyed. The west incl the USA must keep up the sanctions until Russia agrees. The so called Trump 28 point peace plan gives Russia everything.

Did gym and swim today as my left leg behind my knee still incapable of running without pain. Did upper body workout 🏋️ on 9 pieces of kit followed by 800m swim. Now capable of 4 lengths non stop and finding the exercise very enjoyable. Marshalling at Gorey #parkrun on Saturday.

Have a new iPhone. What a faff getting it set up. Thought everything would simply transfer from my four year old SE2020 smoothly. Still I had a bonus morning as #parkrun cancelled & I think it is all set up now. As an older person I am still not sure about Apple Pay. Need to move with the times tho.

Have a new iPhone. What a faff getting it set up. Thought everything would simply transfer from my four year old SE2020 smoothly. Still I had a bonus morning as #parkrun cancelled & I think it is all set up now. As an older person I am still not sure about Apple Pay. Need to move with the times tho.
