So, a little update.

That guy in my profile pic is me. And the @ has changed, this was The_Soccer_Goal.

Content will still be the same, and I'm still writing for my site, I'm just making this account more general as I've got a lot of exciting projects underway.

If a striker scores 20+ goals over a season, you'd typically be pretty happy with that.

It's October 18th. Harry Kane has played 16 games for Bayern Munich in all competitions. He has 22 goals and four assists.

At least one G/A in every game, including wins over Chelsea & BVB. Unreal.

Definitely a respectable performance from Dortmund, at least in the second half. And they could've come away with a result here.

Mildly concerning second half for the Bavarians, who, after a near flawless first half, took on a very defensive approach.

But Bayern & Vincent Kompany keep their 100% record after eleven games. Massive win against an in-form Borussia Dortmund side.

If you just look at the stats, you won't have any idea how good a game Harry Kane just had.

Unbelievable performance — yes, he scored, but more importantly, he was everywhere. Flying in to make tackles, made some unreal passes...

Right now, he is the best player in the world.

Niko Kovač has been a fantastic hire for #BVB. But he's got things wrong today.

Entirely too defensive approach, which was clear from the moment the XI was released. Lucky to not be down multiple goals.

Needs to consider Yan Couto on at the half and actually push forward.

Deserved goal for Harry Kane — he's been absolutely fantastic so far.

It's his 12th goal of the Bundesliga season. Unreal start to the season for the English striker.

Bayern are just taking that extra touch. Brilliant play by Kane, good shot by Olise, Díaz needs to take that quicker.

Moments later, Díaz holds the ball too long — just like Olise did earlier. Bayern have already had two or three great chances.

For those who don't know — left is Samu Aghehowa (21), previously known as Samu Omorodion, who plays for FC Porto.

Right is Joaquín Panichelli (23) who plays for Strasbourg — he's currently the top scorer in Ligue 1 after his brace vs PSG today.

How weird is it that two of the most electric young strikers in the game right now both played for Deportivo Alavés?

For a club that has averaged less than a goal per game since their return to La Liga in 2023, they sure know how to develop young attackers!

Qatar has qualified for the 2026 World Cup — its second-ever appearance at the tournament.

They hosted the World Cup in 2022, becoming the first hosts ever to fail to record a single point and finishing with the tournament's worst record.

Nigeria is now through as one of the best runner-ups in CAF Qualifying, completing a remarkable turnaround after a TERRIBLE start.

Weirdly enough, Victor Osimhen has sent South Africa to the World Cup!

After South Africa had three points deducted, Benin were in pole position.

But South Africa beat Rwanda 3-0 and Osimhen scored a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Benin to help the Bafana Bafana qualify on the last day.

Cabo Verde has qualified for the 2026 World Cup after a 3-0 win over Eswatini.

It went down to the wire after a stressful 3-3 draw vs. Libya left the Tubarões Azuis needing a result on the final day.

First World Cup appearance for the second-smallest country to ever qualify.

Cape Verde can clinch its spot in the 2026 World Cup with a win today.

A country of just over half a million people could finish above African giants Cameroon and qualify for the world's biggest tournament.

We are back at the Temple Sports Complex as Temple take on Tulsa.

It's a gray, windy day as the Owls chase their second win of the season.

Last year, Temple beat Tulsa 1-0 in its final game to cap off a five-game unbeaten streak and reach the conference tournament.

After his brace against Luxembourg today, Joshua Kimmich now has eight goal contributions in seven games for Germany this year.

Even more impressive considering he's largely been used at right-back with the national team.

Carrión chose to leave Real Oviedo for Las Palmas, but lasted only 3 winless months in the Canary Islands.

So Oviedo fired the popular Paunović and brought back a manager with no success in La Liga and who more or less forced an exit. Interesting, to say the least...

Either way, Veljko Paunović can only be remembered fondly in Oviedo, having taken the club back to La Liga for the first time in 24 years.

Best of luck to him in his next steps, and now very intrigued to see who will be his replacement.

While Oviedo haven't looked great this season, a sacking at this stage seems surprising.

Luck has not been on their side, and had a few things happened — for instance, if Salomón Rondón scored his PK in the season opener vs Villarreal — Oviedo could be in a much better position.

Real Oviedo have sacked Veljko Paunović after only eight games this season.

Paunović took over in March and led the club on a 12-game unbeaten streak before beating CD Mirandés in the playoff final to send Oviedo to La Liga.

This season — only two wins from eight games.
