Attended the Kingo Hotel to catch up with the great John “Wacka” Williams and other Parliamentary colleagues. Ordered on the table tab the grilled chicken breast with coriander chimichurri which I thought also came with chips, salad and a Coke no sugar because the Kingo doesn’t stock Pepsi Max. When the meal didn’t come with chips, I stole some chips from colleagues at the table. When it came time to settle the tab it had already been paid for by the Australian Association of Convenience Stores. Total Cost $32.50

potatoes and beans. Dessert was a Chocolate Delice. these were served on an alternate drop system and I was very happy to not be asked to swap. In the absence of Pepsi max at the bar I also had a number of cans of it's poor cousin Coke no sugar.

In what could mistakenly be described as a shameless attempt to appear on my gift register, I was very thoughtfully gifted a 1:11.5 scale custom made full body bobblehead figurine of myself, attired in colour correct ink blue suit and senate pin, Nationals green and gold tie and RM Williams boots, the amazingly detailed personalised gift was given to me by my very good friend and soon to be ex colleague Kerrod Gream but he pointed out that it was not as friend but as attempt to gain favour and therefore should be declared, it’s a gift I love almost more than my precious Pepsi Max and it will be taking pride of place on my Senate desk as for as long as I am privileged to serve in this office –Cost unknown

even maybe the most positive vision for AI, lets say everyone has tools that massively increase what they can achieve in the world, even lets just say positively, that would certainly be weird and chaotic.

Sometimes you just have to talk to the guy graffitiing your ads.

1) So far this is not the case
2) To the extent that it truly became the case it would be because some entity/entities are defining what is normal in a way that seems very dystopian to me

“I think in the long run, people are going to look back on it not as dystopian, but more so as futuristic,” he said. He said every criticism of Friend he’d encountered was an example of thinking that would soon be outdated.

The ads are designed with huge amounts of white space, which the company’s 22-year-old founder, Avi Schiffmann, said is meant to tempt viewers to comment with graffiti. Riders have obliged, marking some posters with phrases like “Go make real friends” and “AI wouldn’t care if you lived or died.”

A few yards away from Schiffmann, Finn Cervino of Queens was defacing a poster with a Sharpie. He included a web address for a website predicting the future of AI and wrote “This is not science fiction. This is reality.”

“We’re living in a world where you got friends that are computers — that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” Cervino said. “They’re destroying the world for the dumbest invention I’ve ever seen in my life.”

During this interaction, Schiffmann went around the corner with his head in his phone, avoiding contact and asking not to be identified to Cervino.
