You’re on good form today! 😂😂😂😂
Zinger across the bow! Great reply. Thanks so much!
The GOP revealing how empty and paranoid it has become.
Right on! I am really disappointed in him, cutting himself off from engaging in what could be really helpful dialogue.
Also, regarding his ‘either/or’ approach, does he want to pay X billions of $$ now to address climate and poverty or 10X billons of $$ in the future when it might be too late to have the same beneficial impacts? 2/2
“What world do they live in” is a really insulting and dismissive thing to say to climate scientists.

I have to conclude he resorts to the insult because he has no substantive reply to their concerns and doesn’t wish to engage in what could be a really productive dialogue.1/2
Ah, I love those facts that have no evidence to support them. The essence of factuality.

Er, or something like that ….
And he wondered, in existential horror: “Why didn’t he have jalapeños on the sandwich!?!?!!” 😱😱😱
“Okay.”

Great work by Norah!

Tragic that he will likely never again be interviewed by a journalist who will hold his feet to the fire. This interview was largely a waste of time and pandered to him.
I hope the Chicago Tribune will follow up on this. Will ICE pay for the damages and the suffering she endured?

I hope this video is seen by millions and millions.
Truly and utterly appalling. Incredibly disturbing. This is wrong on so many levels, and the lack of discipline and good training is so evident.
I agree with the other others: this is really sick, really disturbing stuff.
The moral vacuity on display here is, while not at all surprising, still stunning.

The emptiness. The emptiness.
FWIW, I find the posts from folks like this guy pretty juvenile and tiresome, and they clutter up what otherwise is a really wonderful feed.

Very much appreciate your work, Tom!
Saying that the president has a right to pardon anyone he wishes to, and therefore he himself is not going to question that betrays a moral vacuity that, while not surprising, is still truly stunning.

The emptiness. The emptiness.
I agree with all he says, but the Democrats have to do a much, much better job of campaigning. The last election was theirs to lose, and they lost it.
I wonder how many of the attendees have either read the novel or know anything about the message of the novel.
He writes: “We commit a grave error when we indulge the fantasy of universal vulnerability — that the world is becoming generally inhospitable to human life.”

He ignores the impacts on non-human ecosystems and how those impacts will in turn impact human ecosystems.
Maddening. He conflates doomerism with legitimate scientific and social concern for current and future (significant) impacts of climate change.
Pffft. What do teens need to know about politics?!?

Seriously, so sorry to hear this! Looking forward to hearing more about this from you.
Gosh, the free speech folks are having a problem with free speech.

As far as interfering with another nation’s politics, I seem to recall Trump calling for Canada to become the 51st state ….
Maybe, but I think we need to remember voters are often non-rational when they vote. That is, they’re not developing rational arguments for why they vote the way they do. So objective data like this might have little or no influence.

But if they are experiencing real $ pain that might shift things.
I am both fearful and hopeful that the midterms elections are going to be really significant here. Fearful because he may try to subvert the elections; hopeful, because if the elections go ahead without interference voters may shift the balance of power in Congress.
