People surprised by this need to spend a few hours on youtube watching police interactions. This has been SOP for years and has been steadily increasing since 1982 when SCotUS, in Harlow v. Fitzgerald, strengthened qualified immunity. When there are no consequences, there is no reason to behave.

It would be great if that was true, but it's not. He also supervised, if not participated in, the spreading of disease, rape, murder, slavery, theft on a scale that we can hardly imagine today, etc.

Qualified Immunity prevents government officials for lawsuits unless their conduct violates "clearly established" statutory or constitutional rights, which can be hard to overcome, even without a SCotUS who defends the constitution.

In a perfect world we wouldn't need this.
In a good world, this would be a good solution.
In the world in which we live, first you have to find a lawyer who is willing to take up a civil rights lawsuit against law enforcement, which is a difficult thing to do, then you need a judge to strip QI. 1/2

We have military bases in other countries. They allow us to be in range of people we think we might have to attack quickly. The only countries close enough to Iowa to justify wanting a base are the US and Canada. How does this make sense?

That is such a stupid theory. Obviously, snow defeats autism. Of the 11 children born in Antarctica, none were autistic. Positive proof that extreme cold prevents autism*.

*I'm just assuming none were autistic, but I did look up how many kids so better research than RoofieK Jr. has done.

On April 11, 2025, Trump had his annual checkup, bragged about passing a basic competency test (had to be rigged) and told us he was 6'-4" and 200 lbs. (or whatever the lies were.)
