One of the smallest surviving tiger subspecies, Sumatran tigers live on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. This impressive male, just two years old, is called Raja. He lives at Norfolk’s Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens.

Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens’ new boy, Sumatran tiger Raja, arrived from Frankfurt zoo three weeks ago. His name means ‘King’ in Hindi. He is due to be joined by a female from Berlin later in the year.
