I cannot fathom the fallout had President Barack Obama orchestrated, streamlined and actuated the name altering/change of an existing major institution. It’s almost laughable to imagine the outcries, threats, demands and demonstrations that would’ve ensued.

He was not one of my faves back in the day. He seemed full of himself; inflexible as a performer. I didn’t know his “story” nor did I care. Current day, as we’ve both been around the sun a few times, I find Eddie Murphy charming, almost magnetic. And he is MUCH more handsome w/age and 43 children!

I respect him and his family’s decision to keep his illness private. I wish he would’ve let us express how we love and appreciate his vast contribution to music - (his “flowers” before he left us).

I respect someone telling their truths via memoir. However, I’m not in sync w/the TIMING of that memoir if it depicts discord amongst your colleagues & base @A TIME when impenetrable unity, collaboration & ACTION is crucial. THAT could do more harm than good - WE NEED A TURNAROUND not chipping away!
