We’re all responsible to report if we have reason to believe a child is, has been, or will be harmed.

Pay attention and respond- get involved if interactions are inappropriate.
Identify behaviours of concern and trust your instincts- if it feels wrong, report!

DYK: Sextortion is one of the fastest growing crimes. Offenders can target online through text, social media, internet gaming consoles.
Discuss how to be careful online, what’s private and what’s okay to share.
Review common tactics used to pressure kids/youth to share private information or photos.
Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Some developmental disabilities are "invisible", which means they're not always noticeable to others.

It's important to be #supportive, #understanding, never make assumptions about people's abilities & treat everyone with #kindness 💗
From all of us at The Centre, we wish everyone celebrating a safe and happy Diwali!
