Elion is a werewolf, he can eat raw meat so he doesn’t really care about cooking. So he prefers baking but avoids both

Werewolves mate for life and the wolf part of Elion’s mind has picked Astarion. If Astarion dies Elion will never fall in love again. The most likely outcome sadly him taking his own life after.
