It now makes me wonder how this volcano came to life after 12,000 years. 🤯

Earth is just full of surprises.

Sharing another fab starter pack - for astrophysics. 🌌😀
Finally starting to put together a starter pack of awesome people working in black holes and relativistic astrophysics, gravitational-wave science, and related areas of gravitation. Suggestions for additions welcome!

Have been enduring really stressful days lately. But having a live ISS feed via sen.com seems to calm me. I can say, it's even therapeutic. Earth is so beautiful, we can easily forget it whenever we are drowning with stress in our lives.

Anybody seeing the aurora from the UK yet? Looks like the clouds are moving away.
November 13, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Apparently, the aurora might potentially be visible from around midnight till 3AM. Oh well, I don't mind losing sleep on this one, so cross fingers it will be less cloudy later.

⚡️Solar storm incoming! We are actively monitoring severe space weather events, occurring on 11-12 November. Severely disturbed geomagnetic conditions are expected to persist for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Checked on its wikipedia entry and the origins of its materials are bananas. Like how?!

Artifacts like this are fascinating. It reminds us how we look up to the heavens and our curiosity of the world around us.

Here is the Nebra sky disk, considered by some the oldest known illustration of the night sky.

The artifact was discovered near Nebra alongside several Bronze Age weapons and is linked to the Unetice culture, which thrived in parts of Europe...

Frustrating to see events like this happen and then you have rain, all day in the UK. 🥲
