Separately, his first hearing in his Washington County kidnapping and abuse case takes place later today in the courtroom next door in the same hall. Like the federal hearing, Cozzens will appear remotely.

Was just in the federal court proceeding where a judge ruled that former Iron County GOP Chair Blake Cozzens violated the terms of his release pending December sentencing for his conviction of embezzling $2.1 million from the HOA he ran. More on @fox13now later.

Blake is at Cedar City Hospital after what family says was an attempt to take his life Wednesday after the warrant was issued. Washington County's attorney's office, which is prosecuting the case since it happened in New Harmony, says he will be arrested "when it is appropriate to do so."
