Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

Is the shutdown over? Not yet.
Tonight’s vote was only step 1 of 5.
There’s still another 60-vote hurdle, amendments, AND then the House.
Pressure matters right now—especially on Kaine, Rosen, Hassan, Shaheen.
Stay loud.

A young Tory MP's name gets mentioned as someone ready to cross the floor. He goes to ground and then suddenly announces he is stepping down.
Young MPs just don't quit politics unless someone dumped a political horse head in the bed.

Excessive force. PERIOD!

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.

📌 Keep sharing videos, everyone, because they’re evidence.

The UCP is continually taking steps to avoid accountability by actively taking steps to undermine any authority or body that identifies unethical or criminal behaviour in their government or party - the Auditor General, Elections Alberta, independent investigations, etc

I wonder why? 🤔

This is extremely troubling. The UCP are becoming increasingly authoritarian. They are dumping Doug Wylie, likely because he intervened, in the public interest, in the AHS CEO lawsuit. edmontonjournal.com/news/politic...

What an incredible effort!
Today, I submitted 456,365 Albertans’ signatures to Elections Alberta, petitioning the Premier to do the right thing, avoid a divisive and economically harmful referendum, and allow MLAs to vote and reaffirm that Alberta’s future is in Canada.🇨🇦

'According to the World Bank, #coal prices are forecast to fall roughly 27 percent in 2025 and again in 2026. The era of scarcity is ending. What comes next is the era of technology — and it rewards #efficiency, not #extraction.

That shift is now visible not only in prices but in bankruptcies.’

Angus: This is a guy who showed an AI video of himself dumping diarrhea on his own citizens. So the fact that he’s freaking out because we showed a video that just had Ronald Reagan speaking shows he’s not trustworthy.

Controversial 🇨🇦outsider’s take: People keep saying Trump and the Republicans hate America. No they don’t. They love America like the rest of you. However, what they love even more is their ability to take advantage of the system so they benefit. Trump loves his ability to scam his fellow Americans.

Retaliating against trade partner for an ad is a good look for the USA as it heads into Asia summit looking for investors. Nothing burger again by TACO

It sure hits home the “unreliability factor” of the USA govt. That’s not favourable for investors.

Trump punishes Canada with 10% extra import tax for not pulling down anti-tariffs ad sooner
President Donald Trump says he plans to hike tariffs on imports of Canadian goods by an extra 10% because of an anti-tariff television ad aired by the province of Ontario.

Trump is pissed about an ad that Canada recently ran in the U.S. showing Ronald Reagan talking about tariffs in 1987.

“Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.”
