New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and the Betty Wold Johnson Foundation are donating $1 million to the ECAC to help launch the largest women’s college flag-football league in the U.S.
The league, which will hold its inaugural season in 2026, will include 15 schools.

The NCAA says in a statement that current eligibility rules will remain through at least 2026-27. That means 4 seasons of athletic eligibility over 5 years.
A lot of coaches/players had been hoping for five-for-five (5 years to use 5 seasons of eligibility).
