The same mix of people who wanted to deny voting rights and equality to minorities in the sixties are the same type of people who want to deny citizenship and equality to minorities today.

They are opposed by those who revere the Constitution. Without equality there is no peace!

The same mix of Americans that protested the inhumanity and cruelty of denying voting rights and equality in the sixties, are the same mix of Americans that are protesting the inhumanity and cruelty of today. Protestors of every color and ethnicity uniting as "we the people!"

While I don't relish Mitch McConnell's fall while being asked about ICE illegalities, he represents the entire Republican Party. They are old, decrepit, out of step with the people, and clueless that the electorate is roiling mad.

Brig. Gen. Alan Gronewald, of the Oregon National Guard, warned that his troops would protect the peaceful protesters. A Portland cop threatened to arrest ICE agents if they drove their truck through a crowd.
Peaceful protests work. Oct. 18, boycott buying and join the nationwide protests.

October 18, this year has been designated as a day of purchase boycott. Please do not spend money on that day. It is meant as a warning to the oligarchs, Bezos, Zuckerberg and the rest, that the power, once harnessed, rests with the people. Just one day to slap them with the power of the people.

The fascist, illegal, tactics that ICE is using is designed to set off violence among the population. If this happens, Trump will send in the military and proclaim "Marshall Law" everywhere he can. The remedy is to marshal our citizens and chant, protest and record their actions en masse.

Greta Thunberg being eligible for the Nobel Prize is not only a slap in the face to the Orange Baby, but it would be poetic justice for a woman of peace and caring to win out over a man of hate and conflict. She demonstrates the deep instinct of humanity when money is not involved.

Kudos to our high-ranking military officers who sat in stone silence while the orange, baby, rattled on about nonsense. The fact that one strike on that facility, from a determined enemy, could have ended the American way of life is astounding. I did not hear one Republican expressing concern.
