I made 2 lots of soup and a stew today. My kind of ‘back to school prep’!

Really enjoyed this - shared some poems, did a writing activity, spoke a bit about my cat #BookSky #EduSky

Is there anyone in the uk kidlit community who would be up for helping me organise a fundraiser/auction for #KeepEyesOnSudan? I can't organise my way out of a paper bag but I can shout about things and persuade authors and illustrators to donate stuff #UKKidlit #KidLitUK
They’re beautiful aren’t they.
I think it’s the one drink I can still drink ‘some’ of and be okay in the morning. My tolerance has definitely dropped lately!
I know, I really want to visit but the wee boat doesn’t go in April and getting in at 11pm with the girls fills me with dread! My dad’s having a great time. (Maybe they’ll visit the distillery for me?!)

Huge thanks to everyone who came along to my ESCAPE ROOM: GAME ZERO event at the Cheltenham Literature Festival today! We had tons of fun uncovering the secrets of The Escape and solving its puzzles and challenges. It's been such a thrill to be part of this year's festival and see The Escape trail!
Can smell them a mile away!
Sorry to hear that. Hope tomorrow goes okay.
@mrsveritea.bsky.social apparently it’s National Gin and Tonic Day. Luckily I’ve come back from the islands prepared!
It is lovely. But some long weekends in terms 3 and 4 would also be good!
Ha! They don’t smell as bad as Quavers!
The A9 was kind. This is where a 2 week October holiday is a wonderful thing.
(Feel free to remind me of this in week 11 of term 3!)

This is happening tomorrow afternoon (3:45pm). I'll be talking about ways we've given poetry a higher profile in my school and @joshuaseigal.bsky.social will be sharing his life as a children's poet, as well as performing some of his work. Grab a cup of coffee and join us!

On the south end of Harris. It was lovely.
I love that it’s a completely different world under the water. You get to see so much. And it’s quiet!
I am really sad to be coming home. It’s been a beautiful week though. Just hope the A9 is kind to us this morning!
