Family wedding cakes. My own looks so old-fashioned now

My nephew’s wedding cake. It is made of 5 types of cheese and luckily the reception was in an open-air marquee

My first cousin once removed’s wedding cake. It was the gothest wedding I have ever been to. The cake is iced in black and white and has a Tim Burtonesque wonkiness to it. It was chocolate cake

My own wedding cake. Three tiers of traditional fruit cake with royal icing so hard we couldn’t cut it and had to break into it with a hammer
