I'd like him to go outside his man once in a while instead of cutting in, but what he does do he does very well (see first goal today!).
Stoke team v Sheff Wed: Johansson; Tchamadeu, Lawal, WiImot, Cresswell; Pearson, Baker, Donley; Manhoef, Mubama, Thomas. Subs: Bonham, Mears, Gibson, Phillips, Bocat, Seko, Junho, Fawunmi, Bozenik. #scfc
A badge is just a badge! I am far more bothered that we assemble a decent team to represent us, one which gives us aspirations of promotion & at least finally finishes in the top half of the Championship table. We're doing pretty good on that front this summer from what I can see. #scfc
.......and the way the club has been run since the season before relegation has been a right dog's breakfast.
Stoke team v Derby: Johansson; Tchamadeu, Phillips, Wilmot, Cresswell; Pearson, Lawal, Baker; Manhoef, Mubama, Thomas. Subs: Bonham, Dixon, Bocat, [Gibson/Talovierov], Seko, Fawunmi, Junho, Bozenik, Gallagher.
I'm here all week........
This week my mind has mainly been on Stoke's potential signing of a Slovakian midfielder & the huge figure of the Surrey groundsman who stood up to that idiot Gambhir. Yes, you could say Rigo-Fortis has set in. #scfc #englandcricket
I still find breakfast-time football an odd thing, after years going to 3pm games, the build-up to the game from meeting up for a drink beforehand, hearing the team news, the walk to the ground as anticipation mounts. Not the same stumbling out of bed bleary eyed to turn on the laptop or the telly.
Legs made of rich tea biscuits after being dunked in your brew.
Looking forward to a fairly full Stoke team, with 4 new signings on display, being tested by a very good BHA side on Wednesday. Will MR mix it up or play strongest team 1st half, squad players 2nd half? #scfc
Shame for LCD, pleased for Jamie but it's a shame he couldn't have played today first.
Back row is toughest as there are 6 who could legitimately have a claim to start. In my other post I did say Earl should be on the bench. Beirne I would have starting in the 2nd row with Maro.
Poor opposition really, but Jones & Morgan may have sneaked into Test consideration & Pollock the labrador puppy may be an option off the bench. White might challenge Mitchell for understudy to JGP.
That happened last week. Not sure why the club has not mentioned it.
"Impressed" doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. Impressed in September, then coasted along looking barely interested and being dropped to the bench for most of the rest of the season is a tad more accurate.
Lions Test team? Genge, Sheehan, Furlong, Itoje, Beirne, Chessum, Morgan, Conan; Gibson-Park, Russell, Lowe, Aki, Jones, Freeman, Keenan. Some tight calls in a couple of spots, especially back row & centre. I'd have Earl, Curry & Pollock as impact subs. #Lions2025
Robins' favoured back 3 formation seems more possible now: Johansson; Wilmot, Talovierov, Cresswell; Tchamadeu, Lawal, Burger, Bocat; Thomas, Mubama, Manhoef. It puts a bit of strain on the middle 2 CMs, mind.

I can see us having to sell 1/2 we'd rather keep if we're to have the funds to do the business we need to do this summer. If no one comes in at the right price for Burger, Junho, Milly etc., it may mean the likes of Sol and Lowe (pure profit in PSR terms) being sacrificed. 2/2
We must deal in some freebies & loans, maybe 5/6 altogether. Sales might mean we buy 4/5 more, but if not, we may only have enough cash for 1 more cash buy if we're to stay within the limits of PSR. Who we sell & for how much will dictate the rest of our transfer business. #scfc 1/2
Bit of a headcase, for sure, but he was also something of a terrace hero at Stoke.
12/13 places look settled, don't they? Maybe a prop or flanker spot still up for grabs.
I am a "don't mess with the stripes" man regarding the home shirt. It seems most love the away shirt. Execution is a little off, but the sentiment behind it is spot on.
I'm with you on most of those. JGP a question mark on fitness (as is Williams now too) & Kinghorn is not even on tour yet (but Keenan is injured as well), so we must hope he comes in fit & hits the ground running. In the centres, I'd prefer both Scots or both Irish as a pair. I'd have Russell at 10.
You're assuming I can hold my rum.......... #hic
We are quick to criticise the club (and I do NOT like that home shirt), but we all should be as quick to compliment them when they get something right.....and that away shirt & badge is very right! 😍😍😍
