Shwmae Bluesky!

We're Carers Wales, and we exist to make life better for the more than 310,000 unpaid carers across Wales.

If you are an #UnpaidCarer or have an interest in #SocialCare in Wales, then we'd love to join the conversation, and work with you to make life better for carers.
This has to change and the hundreds of thousands of carers in Wales deserve nothing less than urgent action to right these wrongs.

Carers Wales Manifesto | Carers Wales

Yet far too many carers in Wales are cut adrift and left to struggle financially, see their health and wellbeing suffer or are forced to give up their identity as a direct result of their caring roles. /4
Unpaid carers save Wales over £10 billion every single year with the care they provide. Without them, our health and care systems across Wales would crumble. /3
This manifesto has been co-produced with unpaid carers across every part of Wales. Its asks are carers’ asks and it is rooted in carers’ lived experiences. Whoever forms the next Welsh Government must make support for unpaid carers a greater priority. /2
Today we’re launching our manifesto for the 2026 Senedd election and we’re asking all parties seeking to form the next Welsh Government to Show Us You Care about unpaid carers. 📢 /1
