I'm not a fan of anime, but I can respect how much this means to fans of the genre and this franchise.

Apparently it does a good job of staying true to the source material!

The greatest page in fiction.

This is hope.
From the "News to Share Dept."

I can announce @screenrant asked me to join their team as Senior Comics Writer & I accepted!

My nerdy love for comics began in Scotland emigrated with me to Canada. I'm excited to celebrate with my Comic Creator friends in the future!

Excelsior!
A film that I thoroughly enjoyed over the weekend - of course, I am a part of the intended audience! I survived the 80s!

See how others did too! Read my review of #ThisTooShallPass

Re-watched Scanners last night. Doesn't hold up from what I remember sadly, but damn me if Michael Ironsides' line doesn't send shivers down the back of my neck.

"We're gonna do this the Scanners way: I'm gonna suck your brain dry."
Malcolm McDowell's response to my observation that he killed Captain Kirk:

"Well. It HAD to be done."

Watch for my upcoming interview about his role in The Partisan!
Tonight's celebratory double feature consisted of:

Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)
Real Genius (1985)

... and a ten-year old Jura.

Finished my 5k word treatise on the underestimated nature of Amanda Waller, director of the @DCOfficial anti-hero super team, The Suicide Squad.

Reading 300+ comics, you are aware of divisions among bad people, people in bad situations, & people who just can't help let you down!

RIP to legendary movie poster artist Renato Casaro.

You've seen his art and probably never knew his name.

Our condolences to his family and fans throughout the world.

It's funny, but with the resurgence of interest in Space:1999, this article I wrote about the comic from Charleston Comics that came out just after the TV series just resurfaced in my feed!

This was also the last interview #NicolaCuti did before he sadly left us. I'm very proud it was mine.
Sigh ... Just didn't get the same joy out of this version of the Zombies as I did with the comic. Like I asked: where's the hunger?

Yeah ... I'd think he'd be pretty proud of your return to the show. Just imagine he's applauding in the audience. I will.
Probably the most underestimated character in comics, not only have I gained a new appreciation for Amanda Waller in writing about her history, but I think I'd enjoy channeling some of her force of personality these days!

(Funny how Waller is voicing how I feel!)
As a fellow Danforth bookstore lover, is there any PR folks I can contact to send a question?
What is good in life?

Conan The Barbarian:

- crush your enemies
- see them driven before you.
- hear the lamentations of their women.

Captain John Kirk the Librarian:

- bbq and cocktails abound
