Canadian. Care about good people everywhere. Protect pillars of democracy. Evidence based public policy. Human rights are for everyone. Have courage early to speak and act peacefully. Use tech for good. Posts are my considered personal opinion. #CdnPoli
If I was a Canadian journalist I would ask the Public Security Minister and committee whether there is any intelligence they can share with voters about which Canadian politicians and organizers have met with US politicians and funders to discuss Canadian sovereignty and unity. #CanPoli

There had been several conversations going on with multiple people for several years from what I have heard. Which one tipped the scale? Only one person knows.

No kidding. It is damn painful too for those of us with deep ties to the US - not visiting the people and places we love, or buying brands that are long tome favourites. But when someone tells you they are a threat to your continued existence, we have to take it seriously.

This is about as bad as it gets. The auditor general has revealed the UCP government is lying to the public about healthcare reform. A must read for Albertans of all political stripes.

These little things make Canada different - we should not always take ourselves so seriously, and good natured collegiality in the HoC and every public institution is critical for democracy. We need more laughs - it is part of who we are!

Happy Thanksgiving to our southern neighbours. I am grateful for those among you who still believe in the principals on which your country was founded, and the pillars of democracy. Looking forward to a time when those people are in control of your country. Enjoy your time with your families.

About 40% of SNAP recipients are children. Around half of ALL children in the country are covered by Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

And the so-called “party of family values” gutted both programs by billions of dollars.

Doesn’t sound very pro-family to me.

Doesn’t the US have influence peddling laws? For goodness sakes this is blatant corruption.
Now here’s the kind of news you drop going into a long holiday weekend. Maybe no one will notice. 🤡

So it turns out Scheer and Reid hung back to see how the vote played out to make sure the budget passed. They only rushed in to “change their vote” after the NDPs locked it down without them.

I told you PP had a plan to avoid an election.

In Belém, police repressed Indigenous delegations who were trying to enter the COP’s blue zone to present their demands. They wanted what is rightfully theirs: real participation, a voice, and a vote in the negotiations that decide the future of their territory.

The psychological phenomenon is fascinating and also deadly for many. The suffering this has caused here on earth… the countless deaths (USAID related deaths alone are staggering)
If we survive this, there will be TOMES written about this groupthink phenomenon we know as Christian Nationalism/Trumpism.

Homelessness will dramatically increase in Toronto over the winter, primarily because of provincial and federal funding cuts. Because of this, Toronto's Warming Centres will not be able to meet the need.
