On Thursday 9 October: Jonathan Sumption, Lord Sumption OBE, PC, FSA, FRHistS, a fellow of Magdalen College, where he taught medieval history before pursuing a career in law. His publications include a highly acclaimed history of The Hundred Years War (1990–2023).
Ed Adams, author of Ashford at War, will speak about the devastating air raid on Ashford in March 1943, one of the worst single raids to occur in Kent during the War.

Professor Ronald Hutton CBE is a leading authority on ancient and medieval paganism and magic. Thursday's lecture will draw upon his recent publications including The Witch: A History of Fear and Queens of the Wild: Pagan Goddesses in Christian Europe. All are welcome.
On 14 May, the Canterbury Historical and Archaeological Society have a talk on Sarah Baker and her Kentish Theatres 1737-1816.
