I stopped going to cons for basically 10 ys, till recently...
The big ones that were near city centre, with metro stations nearby got moved to 100km outside...
But are still named as city-con, for some reason :l

The only easy accessible one is smol-ish, but it's better than nothing

Shippings were always quite pricey (more so if you're a smol business or an independent)...
And customs/taxes are moreorless basically the same

We just lack the creator-focused businesses located in EU or at least a warehouse for distribution here :l
