Pritzker: It’s time for us to be done with optimism about their motives. Time to stop wondering if you can trust the nuclear codes to people who don’t know how to organize a group chat. It’s time to stop ignoring the hypocrisy in wearing a big gold cross while announcing the defunding of children’s cancer research… Autistic kids and adults who are loving contributors to our society don’t deserve to be stigmatized by a weird nepo baby who once stashed a dead bear in his car. Our military service members don’t deserve to be told by a washed-up Fox TV commentator, who drank too much before being appointed Secretary of Defense, that they can’t serve their country simply because they are Black, gay, or a woman.

From 1976 to 1983, there was a wide-spread political war campaign in Argentina known as the Dirty War. The pretext of this gruesome war was to overthrow the left-wing political parties. However, the Argentinean military simply used it as an excuse to oppress, torture and murder countless civilians. During this time, an estimated 30,000 people were abducted from their homes, blindfolded, taken to detention centres, and were never seen again. These people are known as the ‘disappeared’

Sending love and respect to nurses everywhere.

Because I'm an MD and I wear a "doctor's stethoscope," I have something very important to say. Through my training and career, nurses have been my hands, my eyes, and my ears. They have caught my sleep-addled mistakes at 3AM when I was an exhausted house officer. They have been valuable members of our team and advocates for our patients. Every time I have run to a bedside to help save a life, it was because a nurse called me there. I remember being sent on a NICU transport from another hospital I was so terrified I wouldn't know what to do if something went wrong but I had an experienced nurse with me. She knew what to do. Do you know why I'm a physician and not a nurse? Because I am not brave enough to be a nurse. So for all you nurses out there, I stand with you. ~Mike Ginsberg
