All checked in and ready to go for a few days in Winnipeg. Looking forward to getting into the city and seeing some friendly faces.

So I had a thing or two to say to The Hill Times about the state of my beloved NDP. My own two cents here but if you're giving quotes to the media calling Mark Carney "Trump-like", I can't take you seriously. Because like him or not, that's not a serious statement.

A defeated NDP means labour, progressive movements have to ‘fill that void,’ says CUPE head Hancock
Former NDP staffer Cam Holmstrom says New Democrats need a moderate leader who can ‘counter-balance’ the further-left bent of the party and speak to Canadians’ everyday issues.

Home… there’s no place like it 🥰🤓

Happy to be home for the next three weeks. Happy to meet up with folks so just send me a message!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: any morning I wake up in NW Ontario is a great morning.

We’re up and at ‘em and about to get back on the road. Looking forward to get getting home this afternoon!

So we’re up and at ‘em for something a bit different. Allison & I are celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary in Brampton watching our Lorraine participate in the Ontario provincial Track and Field championships. Looking forward to a great day!

What pisses me off about it is it's asking for the exact opposite of what we should do: raise more money at both the riding & party level. Don't fight over a smaller pie, grow the effing pie!

And if they did this, these same folks would be the first to complain about lack of central party help.🤦‍♂️

When I read this, I start to worry that the @ndp.ca I love will die, not recover from this last election.

Because if the lessons these people have learned is "hey you know what will win us elections? A weaker central party!" & undoing all of Jack Layton's work, then we're screwed. Seriously 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

So glad to hear it. I’ll be sure to pass that message along to Tina and her team at the Plaza! Hope the rest of your trip back home has been going well.

I'm glad that a certain 2nd generation poli-nepo-baby who hasn't won a thing in his life has come down from his ivory tower to pass judgment on us who have actually won elections & gotten our policies passed into law. We're just as much New Democrats as he is, like it or not🤷‍♂️

I really appreciate @charlieangus104.bsky.social honest comments here and I agree with him, we need honesty above all right now.

I'll have my two cents (and likely eventually more) to add to this conversation coming ahead, but I'm glad to see the conversation is beginning.

Veteran New Democrat slams party for ‘absolutely disastrous campaign’
Former NDP MP Charlie Angus says the party ran an “absolutely disastrous campaign” that “missed the moment” and focused too much on leader Jagmeet Singh.

In Thunder Bay, gotta grab some Persians (Nucci's Bake a Deli on Red River Road, less than two blocks from Hwy 17, have the best IMO). In Kenora, try the Ye Olde Chip Truck for a simple snack, the LOW Brew pub for that kind of fare or The Plaza for some of the best Greek you'll find anywhere :)

I’m all checked in, looking forward to talking about tonight’s English Leaders Debate on @aptnnews.bsky.social. Coverage starts at 6:30 ET and I’m looking forward to some great conversation with my colleagues. Tune in and check it out! #cdnpoli

Hey, I have a question.

If there was a “Houthi PC 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 group” text chain, might there have been another chain for a 𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧 group?

I always appreciate it when I get numerous pieces of hate e-mail after doing a media panel and the person puts their actual name on.

Thanks to Jamie Higgins of Mobile Fire Security in Tavistock, ON for the emails. I'm sure that everyone will appreciate that contribution 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

For a while I’ve said that Pierre Poilievre only has one gear and that hurts him. Well Jagmeet Singh may have more gears, but this launch speech is leaving me feeling he doesn’t have the gear needed for this moment.

To try to paint Carney as an oligarch doesn’t match reality. Sorry🤷‍♂️😞

It's a funny comment from someone who is a part of an administration that you can easily argue has been taken over by Vlad P. and the Russians. I sweat that every accusation of theirs is an admission 🤷‍♂️
