I am interested in neurodivergent theologies and found a bunch of people on here to follow. I decided to turn that into a starter pack. Please suggest additions: i'm sure there are plenty of people I don't know about, plus many others like me joining the current Xodus wave.
Pity Labour won’t attack them on it because
a) they think, despite all experience to the contrary, that they win voters by attacking migrants, not defending us
b) they themselves have basically the same attitude towards disabled people
It’s despicable & anti-Christian. It represents worship of the nation ahead of worshiping Christ in the poor, hungry, thirsty, unclothed, sick, imprisoned, stranger. How many of the people Jesus hung around with, & valued, would be deported under this plan?
Worse, it’s plausible Labour will copy it.
Or just consider the policy and how many of the people Jesus hung around with and valued would have been deported, or be orphaned by deportation, under this policy
And if you think that description is harsh, read the quote at the end it this thread
It says something that I had to go look it up to check if this worshipper of nation, not Christ, is from Reform, Labour, or the Tories
The Established Church needs to find a voice on this kind of dehumanising depiction of men, women and children who have come to our country, being spilled all over the place to say the only thing that has human value is a salary above £38k and thst any foreigner who ever earns less must get out

Yes but she’s also getting glowing reviews and exposure in the more liberal (not to say left) media
Actually a lot of threads on the long Covid side but here’s a blog instead: bsky.app/profile/long...
📚Suzanne O'Sullivan in her new book 'The Age of Diagnosis' has claimed that Long Covid is psychosomatic

There has been ALOT of media attention on this

Good threads on O’Sullivan:

I worried I'd been a bit hasty criticizing Suzanne O Sullivan for her takes on ADHD & autism in Age of Diagnosis. Sadly not. In her interviews she's an absolute wrong un, claiming non-impaired people co-opt the label autism because they have a 'romanticized view' of having a 'superpower'. Um. What?
Another day, another media doing the opposite of “nothing about us without us” (about us and with the person who we would least like to platform; the radio 4 friendly version of RFK + long Covid denier Suzanne O’Sullivan)
More I read of this piece the more I feel how few "experts" on neurodivergent individuals ever speak to us. It's hard enough to get reasonable accommodations as it is. Rather than reducing those available we should be working to increase them, including for adults.

O’Sullivan is a wrong’un. She’s the radio 4 friendly version of RFK. She’s a long Covid denier too.

There is evidence supporting this globally already. When you repeat far right framing you end up normalising it. We're seeing same thing with Labour pandering to the far right, and how they're actually helping Reform gain support with their rhetoric and policies.

Dammit i forgot to delete the and.
Should read:
if you say “people with … neurodiversity,” you’re doing neurodiversity wrong.
Note to Helen Whately: if you say “people with … and neurodiversity,” you’re doing neurodiversity wrong.

Also note to Rachel Reeves: if you’re being led by far right lies (“free cars”) filtered through Reform and Tory policy, you’re also doing neurodiversity/politics/life wrong.
“Rather than giving people “free cars”, the Motability scheme allows disabled people to use their PIP to lease new cars for 3 years.”
