Joining Game Off 2025 and learning Godot. Haven’t really done game dev in about 15+ years so this is going to be an interesting month of learning and getting back into it.

Anyone have recommendations for a cheap or free option for hosting a portfolio site front end & backend that runs node? Everything I’ve done for myself up til now has used PHP for contact forms & no backend but I’d like to add a proper CMS for my portfolio site that can handle blog posts.

My mom is going back to school to pursue a higher degree, it’s been a while since I’ve gone myself, what benefits can she get with her .edu email that would be generally helpful? She’s going for Nursing. I already told her about free Office 365, anything else she should know about?

I’m looking to get back into game development but don’t know where to start, it’s been 20 years since I’ve touched any engine and even more since I’ve written any meaningful game related code.

I’m looking at Godot currently, any opinions, recommendations, or thoughts?
