I'm reading along just fine and then I'm like what? and it takes me like four times before I figure out OH STRAVA. It's always the damn english words. I remember reading a book a million years ago and I kept stumbling over two words until I realized they were transliterations of 'creative director'

(Mostly I think this is funny because of my dual obsession with kale - yes, it's true, I love kale in particular among all the greens, and how quickly I can run through olive oil.)

We buy their cheese here (there's a lot at pemberton, but even market basket has some) (I can give you suggestions for great JH cheeses!) but also we *did* visit their caves, and at the time it wasn't open to the public. (help to be industry-adjacent.) But you might be able to get in if you ask!

While T and I love going to the theater together, this is one of our biggest artistic differences! I crave plot and some sort of structure, even if creative. If the plot is too straightforward he's a little bored. Absurdism is his jam, particularly if it's politically subversive...

My secret joy is that we bought the rain barrel from Blue Stem Natives (fantastic native plant place), and it's made here in NE, and they use upcycled food grade containers. I specifically chose ours because of this, the only one like this, which makes me laugh each time:

Everything is depressing so instead I'll talk about rain- we've had a couple of years of drought in NE and so as we've started to fill our little urban plot with native plants we wanted help watering- thus our new rain barrel. Which brings me such joy! Plus my secret joy abt the barrel:

The *deep* sense of community. I know so many people in the stores, my gym, our fav restaurants. (In Somerville/Boston! It's true!) I can get nearly anywhere on my bike. Walking everywhere. The fact that it doesn't matter how not-normie you might think you are, you're not. Nobody looks at you funny.

The meal I ate there in Jan for my bday was *so good*! I'd go back in a heartbeat (though alas no plans to return to nyc anytime soon). I felt bad for the woman who showed up when it opened and was like, don't you have *any* available space? Um, no. You have to book as soon as it's available.
