Over 10 years ago, Phil Bloom (the developer of #Ratatouille) spoke about 3D projection in rides reaching a saturation point! 🚫🕶️

"3D glasses are a problem. Handing them out, collecting them, cleaning them is a hassle and they're annoying to wear."

Originally, Disney wanted the dragon underneath the castle at #DisneylandParis to be a static figure, a "stone dragon". 😮

There's the cost of continually collecting, cleaning and distributing the 3D glasses. And then of course, replacing any broken 3D glasses.

I wish more accounts/channels would open up like this and share what they've learnt. It would really encourage and inspire other fans to make stuff.

In my opinion, the guest experience has been IMPROVED. 😊👍

• The attraction is more comfortable to ride (without 3D glasses on your head).

• Your field of vision isn't restricted/limited (by the frames) allowing you to fully appreciate the wraparound nature of the screens.

Ratatouille is so much better since it switched to 2D! Without the 3D glasses, I could really appreciate how massive the screens are! 📽️😍

Our Ratmobile tilted forwards and backwards, and most of the effects (oven heat, two water sprays) were working. 🐀🔥💦

After 5 years, I've finally cancelled my #DisneyPlus subscription, for good! 👋

In trying to become the biggest streaming service, they've lost sight of what "Disney" actually means. If everything is "Disney" then nothing is "Disney". They've essentially made "Disney" meaningless. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I really hope that the #UniversalUK theme park coming to Bedford in 2031 includes dark rides that the whole family can experience together. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🙏

Specifically, I'd love to see a new version of the classic #ETAdventure, updated with Epic Universe's state-of-the-art animatronics tech. 🌲🚲❤️

Definitely! 🙌 I just learnt that he ALSO designed the lighting for Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris, which he tried to give even more of a mood through the use of colour and stronger lighting angles. 🏴‍☠️

Is it going to have opening elevator doors at the top, so that guests get a view of the park?

Yeah! 😊 The new trains they installed in 2017, and now this new lighting design up on the roof, are both a step in the right direction. Now they just need to fix the show. 🤞
