A Girl Scout (not from my troop) walked up to me at a state park this weekend and showed me the cool cicada shell she found. I’m pretty sure she’s my hero now.

We blow cinnamon through our door to invite prosperity and abundance into our home. This month, it felt right to try making cinnamon rolls. It took all day damn but they’re finally done, topped with homemade cream cheese frosting, and ready to bring some warmth to our bellies.

Yesterday was #gotchaday for our family. We brought our girl home from the hospital and have proudly been her moms since her first breath but yesterday marks the legal anniversary of that milestone. We had donuts for breakfast and movie theatre popcorn for lunch and the whole day was just perfect. 💜

It took me two months to read one book. The book was incredible and I enjoyed it so very much - but life became really tough and busy and I forgot how to prioritize myself. I feel kind of ashamed. It was way too easy for me to forget about myself.

My wife is currently having a procedure done and the waiting room felt too cold and scary. Fortunately, there is a nice little courtyard here so I came outside and made friends with this tree. She dropped a piece of lichen for me and I feel like everything is going to be okay.
