Short #fanfic for this drawing
#radioapple 💙

“So this is Envy.”
“What do you think?”
Alastor took in the sight of the sparkling indigo ocean before him. A gentle sea breeze wafted through his hair. He looked down to meet the gaze of Hell’s King.
A blueish light cast over the small monarch. Alastor was endearingly accustomed to the red hues of Pride, yet he found the features of the porcelain Devil to take well to this new environment. In fact, Alastor was rather charmed to witness the King’s colors change under this blue sky.
“Beautiful.”
“Yes. This was the Ring that Lilith fancied to vacation to most.”
“Is that so?”
“Sure is. We would do our best to arrive incognito. Usually arriving directly on the rocks near the shore. Lilith would always insist on dipping her toes into the water, only to immerse herself completely in it. She’d say the beaches here had the softest sands in all of Hell.”

Lucifer’s gaze followed the sea’s large waves as they crashed onto the shore. The sea foam would cling to sand, and he was reminded of his own grip on his bond with his beloved wife.
“She was radiant under this sky.”
“Ha.”
Alastor said this, more than laughed it.
“Ha?” Lucifer inquired. He turned his attention to his fellow facility manager. His chin tilted upward at an exaggerated angle to meet his coworker’s eyes. The effort to meet Alastor’s stare was always compounded when they were this close together.
“I just think it’s funny,” Alastor answered.
“What’s funny about what I said?”
“It’s not about what you said, my good man,” Alastor corrected as he booped the space where Lucifer’s nose might be. Alastor began to walk down the dock, away from the sea. He held his hands behind his back, as usual. Lucifer looked after him.

“Then what?” The King asked.
“Ah, just the situation in general.”
Alastor turned his head back towards Lucifer, with his hair getting picked up by the breeze. The red of Alastor’s hair took on a kind of magenta hue when it caught the influence of Envy’s sky. The brightness of the color had an utterly captivating effect as it created warm and cool hues from the light.
“We just got here,” Alastor said as he smiled brilliantly at Lucifer. His eyes suddenly became black, save for the bright red pupils that appeared to float in the centers of those hollow shapes.
“And you’ve already made me jealous.”
