Our war on terror has killed nearly as many civilians as Jews in the Holocaust, making the "3000 yrs of ME conflict" as deplorable an untruth as antisemitism.

US arms continue to flow to the Sudanese genocide through the UAE. Why is this story barely mentioned? Why was the US rocked by the Gazan genocide and not the Sudanese? Why are these dozens of extrajudicial killing in central America getting more attention than our other genocide?

Notably, the early 1980s conflict witg Lebanon was the first time Biden defended the sale of US arms to Israel after Israel dropped cluster bombs on Lebanese civilians.

Maybe part of the problem is that US citizens elect obscenely violent leaders?

- international peacekeeping forces to protect Gazans
- regional aid package that subverts Western economic imperialism
- recognition of Israeli statehood

To not see that this deal has the opportunity to do great things, it's just ignorance or cynicism.

Instead, they did half measures, too afraid to upset trade and oil markets to fully sanction Russia, too afraid of the lobbyist groups who claim to represent the interests of the Israeli people to force Israel to end the genocide.

He's a criminal, yet I hope he continues to try to end war.

This is why Trump is so complex to me: he's been, in his buffoonish way, fairly consistently against war. Biden et al, with AUKUS (China arms race) and continuing to arm UAE and Israel as they each commit genocide, who refused to extend sanctions to end the Ukraine war, never truly tried to end war.

Really? I read the NYTimes every day and my takeaway is that Democracy is under serious assault, that the Trump administration is dangerous and full of crazies and constant lying, that the rights is immigrants and Americans are under serious threat, that civil war may be imminent.

In this context, an agent is someone who purposefully or due to manipulation subverts a political movement. One of the tactics of subversion is to get the movement to look extreme and absurd to anyone who isn't core, like Stephen Colbert, or people who call Trump the orange man. Ya know, cointelpro

You know they armed two genocides? They signed a second arms deal with the UAE late in Biden's presidency. Now black Sudanese civilians are dying from the combined efforts of Palantir, General Dynamics, SpaceX, Microsoft, and the Democratic Party.
