One of my favorite comedians blurbed my book. Zach Anner, actor and writer for ABC's Speechless, gave my novel the kindest endorsement I could ask for. Please watch the hilarious Speechless episode where he gets tased by Minnie Driver. This man deserves his own TV show. @acrebooks.bsky.social

Range of Motion is officially out today. It took 10+ years. No matter how difficult the writing was, deep down I knew a character like my twin brother needed to exist. Don’t give up, kids. @acrebooks.bsky.social #briantrapp #acrebooks #smallpressbooks #rangeofmotion #newfiction #caregiving

Happy to receive this wonderful endorsement from the great @elizabethmck.bsky.social, author of one of my favorite novels, The Portable Veblen. When I meet someone who also loves that book, it’s like a delightful secret we share. Please read it!

One month until Range of Motion officially drops from @acrebooks.bsky.social. Happy to share this fantastic blurb from Jonathan Evison. I love his novel The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, which was made into a @netflix.com film starring Paul Rudd.

Today's Read: How a Woman Becomes a Lake by Marjorie Celona. Just came out. It's about a woman who takes her dog for a walk and doesn't come back.

The rare literary thriller that success both as literature and as a thriller.

This article blew my mind. It speaks to the terror our culture has of intellectual disability. Parents would rather put words in their children's mouths than accept that their kids have non-normative ways of communicating.

‘I Can Hear Thoughts’
A podcast called The Telepathy Tapes claims a group of nonspeaking autistic people can read their parents’ minds. The truth is more complicated.

When the plot of my forthcoming novel about twins with maybe telepathy just happens to intersect with an "autistic people have telepathy" podcast featured in New York Magazine...

My novel is a comedy. These people are for real.
