I made an adorable tortie purrmaid figurine, by pouring alternate resin colors into the mold. Afterwards, I spent a long time giving her seed bead accessories.

I love those Ampersand boards. They're awesome. My local art store used to sell them cheap. And then they suddenly quadrupled in price. Being a stereotypical starving artist, I just wound up just gessoing and sanding my own boards. Which is too much work for me.☹️

They're so stunning! You know, I've been a full-time artist since 2013, and lemme tell ya. December has ALWAYS been a really bad month. I'm guessing people buy our stuff for others, and not as gifts.

Unless I’m using photo references, all my traditional cat paintings start like this: a sloppy scribble on my computer. I’m thrilled to say I’m no longer drawing with a mouse, as I did for decades. I finally have a Wacom tablet and pen. Drawing is fun again!

Unless I’m using photo references, all my traditional cat paintings start like this: a sloppy scribble on my computer. I’m thrilled to say I’m no longer drawing with a mouse, as I did for decades. I finally have a Wacom tablet and pen. Drawing is fun again!
