I'm here for Japanese & Korean dramas & a bit of fun. #Jdrama #Kdrama *No politics at all* And follow back only if you want. Don't feel pressured or obligated to. It's cool ✌🏾😁💕

Really? Maybe because the metal slides?

I have to think about that cuz I use the metal ones too. And I don't know if I ever noticed a difference. Obviously I wouldn't have their level of experience tho.

I'm gonna try it tomorrow 🤔
Haha.

That was me, tho! Everytime I saw those spoons, I got fixated. I always ended up forgetting about the story & started rewinding just to see the spoons. Haha.

I had it bad
I finally got the spoons I wanted.

Everytime I see them in #Kdrama , they catch my eye ✌🏾😁
I'm watching ep 4 of #BonAppetitYourMajesty & I'm in tears.

This scene of the Dowager Queen remembering her childhood & her mother wrecked me. It's really beautiful 😭

*I still don't think the show is good *but* it does have some nice things about it
Right? To the very end. It's fantastic
#TheWhirlwind was an incredible #KDrama

I started it over a year ago but paced myself becuz of all the tension in the show & the political climate irl. But I always wanted to finish it becuz it was that good.

Now at the end, I'm honestly in awe of how amazing it truly was.

Just brilliant. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
And, he was a star child actor *and* a best-selling author? That's like when kids say they wanna be an astronaut & a fireman

Then, he's got a super rare illness, that we're supposed to assume got cured because he returned?

And, he returns without telling her? He just shows up at the shop? What?
And, they make this big deal about Sunwoo returning to television. Did all that filming and then...absolutely nothing. Like, nothing changed.

But suddenly, the focus was on his illness. That's why he disappeared from acting? I thought that was cuz the agency & his mom

IDK 🤷🏾‍♂️
It bothered me Je Yeon thought Sunwoo had a relationship with the hotel manager & he never corrected her.

The agency that went bankrupt. Why Sunwoo MIL hated him so much (because of his mom?). His dad just ends up w/ Nu Ri? What?

Stuff just got passed over. IDK. Maybe I missed the answers 🤷🏾‍♂️

I saw a fascinating comment on the Kdrama subreddit from someone who was the COO of a production house in the 2000s. They say a lot of dramas underperformed this year but then they list the ones they think did meet or exceed expectations. Not a lot of surprises but still interesting.

Drama Diary: Typhoon Family (Lee Jun Ho ❤️/ hooked). Would You Marry Me? (tropey fun). Ms Incognito (enjoyable / compelling). My Youth (comforting / last ep dread). Love’s Ambition (satisfyingly twisty). Mr Sunshine (visually stunning / pacing frustration) What have you been watching? #kdrama #cdrama
#MyYouth was pleasant

I find myself unsatisfied with it tho. I think I expected it to be more about him being a former child star, than an adult dealing w/ illness. Many unresolved issues in his past I wanted answers for too

But it was nice. The soundtrack was soothing. As a whole, it was OK 🤷🏾‍♂️
One of my guilty pleasures is watching Japanese disaster/action #Jdrama . They're always a special kind of fun.

I'm finishing #119EmergencyCall now & it was good 😊
I saw the ad page for #ThenYouTryMakingIt on Viki this morning, so I put it on.

It's cute

It made me laugh (& feel uncomfortable) because it reminds me of me after my divorce

I'm glad to see these two leads become leads finally too. I've enjoyed their acting for awhile

This one should be good 😅

#TyphoonFamily is making me want to learn about the IMF crisis. Even though I've seen a ton of shows that highlight it, none of them have made me curious about how hugely it affected SK.

So far solid watch, will be waiting weekly for this 🥲
