I have to clean up the UI but I’ve got most of my weather API comparison stuff set up. For now, I’m just measuring forecasted highs and lows against actual readings for the #myradar, #tomorrow.io, and #onpoint APIs. Might branch out to more measurements and APIs at some point. #wx

Nobody: …

Me: I’m going to create a Retool app that pulls forecasts using every weather API I can find and compare them with the actual readings from my weather station. May the weather API battle begin.

This is going to be a "big deal" snowstorm for the Sierra, especially considering the slow start to snow season (snow whiplash?)! Join me live on YouTube Thu AM for discussion; I'll also have a new blog post Wed or Thu. #CAwx
I'll have my next live YouTube weather & climate office hours this Thu (2/29) at 10am PT. Topic will be the upcoming pattern shift toward much colder storms, including possibility of very heavy Sierra snowfall! #CAwx #CAwater

Here are a couple of maps showing where record highs are forecast today and Tuesday.

For the "iT's SpRIng, ThINGs CHangE" crowd, the third map is where all of the record lows will be behind the strong cold front.

We’re in an OK spot now but after ~8 days without power and waiting on our next propane delivery, we’re getting dangerously close to where we were last winter. If we don’t get topped up before the next storms, I will be very sad 😢#CAwx #sonomacounty #sonomacoast #mendonoma
