One of my favorite Photon features is its integration with Vite's Environment API.

I can't repeat this enough: Vite's Environment API is an engineering feat that unlocks many capabilities.

Huge props to James Opstad from @cloudflare.social and the @vite.dev team for designing it.

Using Telefunc and hitting some paper cuts?

Let us know — we've time to work on Telefunc before our next Vike sprint kicks off.

@viteconf.org was a blast.

It was amazing meeting so many folks from the Vite ecosystem. And... lots of new collaboration potential!

With @pi0.io we got along really well and we want to collaborate on server & deployment infrastructure.

Thank you so much @evanyou.me for everything.

Glad to see Nuxt get long-term funding — for Nuxt and also for their great libraries powering a big chunk of the JS ecosystem.

Innovation is driven by hunger — curious to see whether it will fuel or mellow their drive. More stability for sure, but maybe less motivation to re-invent themselves 👀

Added use cases for +onCreatePageContext and +onCreateGlobalContext to the docs.

Vike is the only framework with low-level hooks that let you build all kinds of web architectures. E.g. DocPress (SSG powering vike.dev) couldn't be built with other frameworks.

✨ 5,000 stars on GitHub ✨

🚀 Road to 50k:
- Make Vike the quickest way to get started with full-fledged apps (powered by Vike extensions + vike.dev/new)
- Marketing first — time to spread the word! (We’ve been heads-down building Vike’s foundation — almost done!)

✨ Many HMR fixes for + files
💫 +redirects support for SSG

Roadmap:
- Finish internal refactoring and polishing
- Open Source Pricing (we're hesitating about two different designs, we'll ask for feedback soon)

No AI open source developer in sight.

AI has improved but it's hit a structural plateau — no breakthroughs.

Next AI breakthrough? Next year? 5 years? 20?

Everyone's free to guess and have a hunch, but any leader claiming certainty is most likely talking BS.

Glad to see Telefunc (telefunc.com) mentioned at the @svelte.dev conference: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dAT...

Yes — having client and server code live inside the same file is a dead end.

Hopefully Telefunc will inspire others as well.

Thank you @rich-harris.dev for the shout out!

Vite's modularity is remarkable 🧩

The Vite team cares so much about designing APIs for its ecosystem that @hiogawa.bsky.social (Vite team) created a PR refactoring our Vike + React + Server Components extension.

Truly remarkable 💚
